![]() | Liz Turner has been with the practice since 1993, and is the lead nurse for the practice. She became a partner in 2008. Her clinical expertise is in chronic disease management and health promotion, and she is trained in cervical cytology and family planning . She manages the nurse team and is also qualified and involved in teaching and training. She has a registered specialist practice qualification and is soon to be a nurse prescriber. |
The practice nurse team is made up of the lead nurse Liz Turner,and practice nurses Angela Pym, Lesley Moore, Jan Hobden, and Hazel Hayden. They are supported by the health care assistants (HCAs) Connie Steele, Margaret Angell-Allpass and Linda Oliver. They are all highly qualified and offer a specialist service in chronic disease management. This includes prevention and management of diabetes, coronary heart disease, heart failure and other heart conditions, stroke, hypertension, asthma and COPD, and the monitoring of many long term conditions. In addition, Hazel is trained in women’s sexual health and cervical cytology.
As an additional service, complementing the NHS travel advice and vaccination service run by the treatment room, Liz, Lesley and Hazel are able to give private travel vaccinations not available on the NHS.
Susan Newman RGN,DIP (HE), Bsc(hons) child nursing, Bsc(hons) Healthvisiting/Public Health.
Susan is our acute illness specialist nurse who works alongside the doctors holding consultations for acute illness with an emphasis on childrens health. She has years of experience in A&E and Health Visiting where she gained degree qualifiations. She is also an Independent Nurse Prescriber and currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Nurse Practitioning.

Sister Nadine Everson leads the team of nurses in the treatment room.
They offer a wide range of services, many directly accessible to patients, as listed in our services under travel vaccination & other treatment room services
District Nurses
The district nurse team is led by Sisters Megan Smith and Mary Kelly

The district nurses provide nursing care for housebound patients with acute illness, post operative care needs, and chronic illness or disability. They are also very involved in care for terminally ill patients, providing nursing services and co-ordinating care from other agencies.
